Today we’re talking about inspiration and how we conceive of and evaluate app ideas. We start by discussing how we each get ideas for new apps, the value of intentionally seeking out new ideas, and the role of a product roadmap in determining which ideas are feasible. Then we turn our attention to evaluating those concepts as a business decision, and run through a list of things to consider when evaluating potential app ideas. Finally, we look at the role of competition in determining which ideas to run with, which ideas should be refined, and which ideas should be tossed.
